Former BWF World Junior No.1s Tasnim Mir, Anupama Upadhyaya, No.4 Anwesha Gowda, and No.5 Unnati Hooda are not contesting the selection trials.
Selection trials for selecting the Junior Indian team have been scheduled at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Greater Noida from 24-27 January 2023 for the Dutch Junior International 2023 to be held at Haarlem, the Netherlands from 1-5 March 2023 and German Junior 2023 to be held at Berlin, Germany from 8-12 March 2023.
Selection Guidelines are set by the BAI Selection Committee (Jr.) to select the players who will be eligible to take part in the Selection Trials after the conclusion of the Chandigarh (3-9 January 2023) and Bahadurgarh (10-16 January 2023) tournaments, are as follows,
1. All semifinalists (boys & girls) of the singles event from the above-mentioned two tournaments for the singles event. 2. All finalists (boys & girls) of the pair events from the above-mentioned two tournaments for the pair events.
3. Top-4 in singles ranking and Top-2 pairs in pair event ranking as per the BAI ranking points.
4. Indian players among the Top-20 in the BWF Junior Ranking.
Total 8 Men’s Singles, 13 Women’s Singles, 4 Men’s Doubles, 4 Women’s Doubles and 3 Mixed Doubles Players are selected for the trials to identify 4 players from each Singles and 2 pairs from each doubles events.

Except Manya Ralhan/Tanvi Sharma (PUN), remaining pairs and all Men’s singles players are contesting to represent Indian Junior Badminton contingent for German and Dutch Junior International 2023.
