Sankar Muthusamy is the only seeded player in the Men's Singles who entered the semifinals of the BWF World Junior Championship 2022.
He managed the Chinese challenge in the quarter-finals and is confident to face the junior World no 107 Thailand's Panitchaphon TEERARATSAKUL.
Sankar is the Second Indian Boy to enter the BWF Junior World Championship Finals. India conceded 9 medals, of which one silver and one gold are from Women's Singles. Another Medal is Siril Verma Silver medalist in Men's Singles. The remaining are Bronze medals.

He is in the 4th and 110th BWF World Junior and Senior Rank respectively. He defeated the World No 107 in straights 21 13 21 15 in the semis and cruised into the finals. He may face Chinese Taipei's KUO Kuan Lin or Korea's Byung Jae KIM in the final.
