Raipur, India | November 17, 2024 – The CM TROPHY India International Challenge 2024 concluded in a spectacular fashion at the ISPORTZ BADMINTON ARENA in Raipur, where top badminton players from across the globe battled it out for supremacy. The prestigious tournament, which is part of the BWF International Challenge series, saw intense competition and exceptional performances across various categories.
The victories will help the next generation of Indian players gain their World rankings to their career bests and will make them eligible to enter BWF Super Series tournaments in the coming years. Men's Doubles Winner World No.54 Hariharan Ruban will enter, and Women's Singles title winner World No. 61 Rakshitha Sree may be edging nearer to the World Top 50 rank club.
Men’s Singles: The Men’s Singles title was claimed by Mithun MANJUNATH of India, who continued his strong run of form in 2024. In the final, Mithun defeated India's B.M.Rahul BHARADWAJ who had retired when the score was 13-05.
Women’s Singles: India's Rakshitha Sree, World Rank 60, secured the Women's Singles title in the 17-21, 21-12, 21-12 decider against fifteen years old India's young badminotn sensation Tanvi Patri.
Men’s Doubles: The Men’s Doubles crown went to World No. 58 Hariharan and Ruban Kumar of India. The dynamic duo defeated their counterpart pair of Dingku Singh and Amaan in straight sets, 21-15, 21-16. Hari Ruban pair's aggressive style of play and excellent court coverage were on full display as they claimed their first International Challenge title of this season.
Women’s Doubles: In Women’s Doubles, Arathi Sara and Varshini took home the championship, overcoming a determined challenge from India's Kavya and Radhika. The final score was 21-18, 21-17. The Indian pair’s chemistry and precise shot placement helped them clinch the title in a dominating style. .
Mixed Doubles: The Mixed Doubles event saw an exciting clash between India’s ace players Rohan KAPOOR and Ruthvika Shivani and the top seeded pair Ashith and Amrutha. Kapoor and Shivani emerged victorious with a 21-16, 19-21, 21-12 scoreline, securing the mixed doubles title in an International Challenge event.
