Priyanshu Rajawat and Tasnim are in Career Best BWF World Rank after winning Gold from India International Challenge, Chattisgarh,2022


Tasnim Mir, India registered her second Gold from BWF International Challenge tournaments this year and claimed to her highest BWF Women's Singles Rank 113.

Priyanshu Rajawat won his 4th Gold from BWF International Challenge and series tournaments and reached his career best BWF World Men's Singles Rank 69.


Both just 20 year old young players shocked their senior Indian counterparts in their respective singles finals.

Priyanshu defeated the World No 72 Subhankar Dey, India in straights by 21 12, 21 13 and Tasnim kept the nerves against Samiya Imad Farooqui, India and World No 74 in the deciding battle by 14 21, 21 17, 21 11.



India Chattisgarh International Challenge 2022 is the USD15000 prize money Grade 3 Continental level BWF tournament.


The 2022 BWF Continental Circuit is the sixteenth season of the BWF Continental Circuit of badminton, a circuit of 70 tournaments. These 70 Grade 3 tournaments are divided into three levels:


  • International Challenge (28 tournaments) - Pool Prize money above 15000 USD

  • International Series (24 tournaments) - Pool Prize money above 10000 USD

  • Future Series (18 tournaments) - Pool Prize money less than 10000 USD

Recently concluded Maharashtra International Challenge 2022, and the upcoming Infosys Foundation International Challenge 2022 are other two Grade 3 Continental Circuit International Challenge tournaments from the Indian soil.


Ranking points gained from these tournaments will help the players to gain entries to BWF 100 or higher level Grade 2 BWF World Tour Tournaments.

India Chattisgarh International Challenge 2022, is organized by BWF and Badminton Association of India at Raipur, India from 20/9/2022 to 25/9/2022.


916 players from 11 countries have participated in 5 event categories.

Semi Finals


Top seeded Ishaan BHATNAGAR and Tanisha CRASTO faught for 44 mins with Thailand's Ratchapol MAKKASASITHORN and Chasinee KOREPAP for 15 21, 20 22 and lost the match in the women's doubles semi final match.


Followed by in MS Semi final, Yu IGARASHI, Japan was defeated by India's 5th seeded Priyanshu RAJAWAT by 21 16, 21 17 in 46 mins.


In another WD semi final, Pooja DANDU and Arathi Sara SUNIL struggled to manage the challenge from the Indian Sub Junior pair Navya KANDERI and Rakshitha Sree SANTHOSH RAMRAJ to reach the final and the score is 21 15, 13 21, 21 15.


In WS Semi final, former junior World No 1, Tasnim Mir, shocked the India's top seeded Malvika Bansod and defeated by 21 18, 14 21, 22 20 in the 1h 06m rubber.


Followed by, in MD Semi final Siddarth ELANGO and T. Hema Nagendra Babu has lost by 21 15, 12 21, 13 21 to 3rd seeded Ishaan BHATNAGAR and Sai Pratheek K.


Another Indian heavyweight and fourth seeded Subhankar DEY won MS single semifinal Vs Aditya Joshi by 21 15, 11 21, 21 11.


In XD Semi final, India's Gouge SHAIK and MANEESHA K lost to Rohan KAPOOR and REDDY N. Sikki by 21 17, 21 13.


In second WS Semi final, Purva BARVE of India was conceded in straights by sixth seeded Indian Player Samiya Imad FAROOQI, and the score is 22 20, 21 15.


In another deciding battle of MD Semi final, Chaloempon CHAROENKITAMORN and Nanthakarn YORDPHAISONG lost to their Indian counterpart, second seeded Krishna Prasad GARAGA and Vishnuvardhan Goud PANJALA for 21 12, 18 21, 14 21.


Japan's sixth seeded Chisato HOSHI and Miyu TAKAHASHI easily managed the Indian challenge in straights of 21 mins match by 21 07, 21 04 for reaching WD Finals.
