The Badminton Association of India (BAI) has announced the final badminton contingent, which includes the team championship and individual championship, for the forthcoming 38th National Games, which will be held in Uttarakhand from 29 January to 4 February 2025.
Eligibility criteria for the individual events are the top 6 Indian players as per the current BWF ranking up to BWF rank 50 only, the top 8 players as per the current BAI ranking, and two players from the host state. For doubles events, the Eligibility criteria are the top 3 Indian pairs as per the current BWF ranking up to BWF rank 50 only, the top 4 pairs as per the current BAI ranking, and one pair from the host state. Based on these, BAI has announced the list of individual players of all five categories. Karnataka and the host have more representations. Except local boy Lakshya Sen, world top players PV Sindhu, Satwik & Chirag Gayatri Gopichand & Treesa Jolly, HS Prannoy, and Tanisha & Ashwini Ponnapa are absent for the National Games 2025.
