Before his current position, Kamaldeep served as the Head Coach at Malmö Badminton Club in Sweden from 2020 to 2023, contributing significantly to the club’s growth and performance. His earlier stints in India and Malaysia at academies like Flow Badminton Academy and New Vision Badminton Academy further solidified his reputation as a coach capable of developing talent at every level. Notably, he trained elite players such as Kim Sa-Rang and Kim Gi-Jung during Malaysia’s Purple League and prepared athletes like Prajakta Sawant and Sanyogita Ghorpade for the Thomas/Uber Cup in 2018.
Player-Turned-Coach with Global Credentials
Before his transition into coaching, Kamaldeep enjoyed a successful playing career, achieving notable BWF rankings—141 in Men’s Doubles and 137 in Mixed Doubles. He earned bronze medals at prestigious tournaments, including the Mauritius International Series and All India Senior Nationals, a testament to his skill and dedication as a player.
Leveraging his playing experience, Kamaldeep pursued coaching certifications to refine his craft. With credentials such as BWF Level 3 Coach (2024) and USA Badminton Level 1 Coach (2017), he brings a structured and professional approach to his training methods.
