"It's a great achievement for a youngster. Unnati has proved her top-seeding with dominating displays throughout the tournament. I congratulate her on becoming the first Indian to enter the U-17 singles final at this prestigious tournament. The 39-member Indian contingent is participating in TOYOTA Gazoo Racing Badminton Asia U17 & U15 Junior Championships 2022, Thailand from 29th November 2022. Unnati Hooda, Anish, Arsh & Sanskar are playing finals.
History: In 2013, Men's doubles pairs of Arjun MR-Chirag Shetty and in 2015, Krishna Prasad Garaga-Satwiksairaj Rankireddy have won gold medals for India in the U-17 category Men's Doubles.
U-15 singles player Anish Thoppani and U-17 men's doubles pair of Arsh Mohammad and Sanskar Saraswat sailed into the Finals and keep the Gold medal dreams alive for India.
